mahabis photography // modern world, by andreas levers
This week, we've come across the work of Andreas Levers, a German photographer and media designer.
From Icelandic roads to brutalist concrete structures, Levers focuses on the juncture between architecture and nature.
His Modern World series features seven separate photo collections characterised by desaturated modern landscapes. From office blocks to car parks, each location would usually be crowded with people, but there's not a silhouette of a person in sight in Levers' work.
The quietness of the photos makes them stand out. Levers' reflection of the 'modern world' is remarkably isolated, with buildings left empty and streets left un-walked.
Whilst some of his landscapes are left in rubble, with an eery, post-apocalypse feel, others stand out for their bright blue skies, and clean and modern lines.
Put your feet up, headphones in, and take a scroll through this selection from the 'Modern World' collection.
