01. This sell-out style is back. What’s behind the hype of this summer slipper?

Our customer is someone who enjoys curating their home and this doesn’t stop at what they wear. They love colour, they love design, and they prioritise quality.

 

We also know they enjoyed our wool slipper in autumn/winter, so we translated our classic silhouette into a lighter, more breathable slipper that could be worn in the warmer months. Knowing they would get the same quality, comfort and fit was reassuring for our customers.

 

We had so much wonderful feedback last season on the comfort, style and practicality of the solar, that it was a no-brainer to bring it back this year.

 

02. How is Solar different to other summer slippers?

This is the fourth Summer slipper we have developed and this time we focused on a more minimal silhouette with a strong colour focus. We also make the solar in our Portuguese factory to ensure we can oversee every detail of production, and that it has the same craftsmanship as our winter styles.

 

We know our customer spends more time outdoors during this time so added a sole that can endure some light wear outside. This means a coffee in the garden or watering plants on a terrace doesn’t require a change of footwear.

 

03. What did you bring to Solar this season that we haven’t seen before?

Colour! We brought back some classic shades and then added colours that look great with summer neutrals like khaki and burgundy. We also added a cool grey shade that pairs well with denim, it’s called Lunar Grey.
